Seeing the presence of Jesus

manifested in the most hurting and broken parts of our city.

We are a compassionate ministry of Crossroads Tabernacle, birthed out of prayer with the mission of seeing the presence of Jesus manifested in the most hurting and broken parts of our city.  Mission 820 is dedicated to seeking the presence of Jesus in sustained prayer and compassionate outreach for the salvation, deliverance, and healing of the most broken people inside the 820 Loop that circles our city.

Get Engaged:

Urban Encounter

UE is a different kind of mission experience. It is the vision of UE that every participant would experience a fresh encounter with the power and presence of Jesus. UE is a six day immersion in prayer and in outreach to the inner city, beginning and ending each day in prayer. We believe before God can work through us in the mission field, He has to work in us. The ultimate Urban Encounter is with Jesus in the city. Outreaches include Peanut Butter and Jelly Kids Club, feeding the hungry, street evangelism and community service projects.

Kingdom Encounter

KE is a new ministry of Mission 820 beginning in the spring of 2019. The design and focus of Kingdom Encounter is for adult groups to come and experience the power of prayer and the presence of Jesus in the inner city. There will be sustained times of prayer and worship, Biblical teaching on corporate prayer and intercession, and powerful outreach to the city. The prayer is that people who experience Kingdom Encounter will be equipped and empowered to adapt and implement prayer-based outreaches in their cities.

Proximity Projects

The morning will be spent in prayer positioning our hearts and aligning them to see what Jesus sees. The evening will end with a meal shared around a table together. The day will be filled with getting in proximity with the reality of what’s inside our city. It’s one thing to hear someone tell you all about sex trafficking or homelessness or poverty and the bondage that so imprisons people in the city. But when you place yourself in proximity of it, the smells come alive, faces take shape and the people become real; your heart engages.
